The Yarenergo team successfully performed at the distances of the All-Russian marathon ZaBeg.RF

For the seventh time, the largest half-marathon with a synchronized start, ZaBeg.RF, was held in Russia. In Yaroslavl, the event brought together more than 1,500 sports fans and professionals. 25 power engineers of Yarenergo, a branch of Rosseti Center PJSC, with their children took part in the distances of 1, 5, 10 and 21.1 km.
From early morning on the sections of Kotorosl and Volzhskaya embankments, Volzhsky Spusk, Sovetskaya Square, as well as the central streets of the city, loud music sounded and dynamic workouts were held with fitness instructors. All participants in the sports competition were given a starter pack with a T-shirt, a timing chip and a number.
Throughout the running track, areas with drinks and snacks were available for athletes. The marathon runners were also accompanied by ambulance crews, locker rooms and lockers were working.
As a result of the races, everyone received a finisher’s medal, a certificate, as well as gifts from partners. The son of an employee of Yarenergo, Danila Smirnov, who is a member of the national team of the branch, became the first in the 5 km distance in the age category of 16-17 years. At a distance of 10 km, the engineer of the second category of the department of metrology and power quality, Yuri Marakazov, distinguished himself. He took the second step of the podium in the 65+ category. Another employee of Yarenergo, Oleg Gruzdev, took first place in the age category 45-54 and third in the overall standings at a distance of 5 km.
“Several thousand people all over Russia, including power engineers, take part in the race every year. Sport develops the will to win, gives motivation to grow above oneself. I thank Yarenergo employees for their active position and popularization of sports,” said Dmitry Litvinenko, Deputy General Director, Director of the branch of PJSC Rosseti Center – Yarenergo.
