Yamal wrestler Nikita Rebro became the champion of Russia for the sixth time, this was reported on May 13 in the department of physical culture and sports of the YaNAO.
The athlete competed at the Russian Deaf Sports Championship in the category “Sports (freestyle) wrestling” in the weight category up to 79 kilograms and took first place. According to the results of the competition, Nikita Rebro won a ticket to the World Championship, which will be held in September in Kyrgyzstan.
An athlete is training in Tarko-Sale at the Victoria sports school under the guidance of Oleg Dyushko.
“This national championship has become jubilee for Nikita – the tenth. Each time he returned to Yamal with a medal. Now he has six gold, two silver and bronze medals in his piggy bank,” the department explained.
Competitions were held from May 11 to 13 in Naro-Fominsk, 85 athletes from 19 regions of the country took part.
