“The world has changed again” – Kommersant FM

Vladimir Zelensky unexpectedly visited NATO headquarters in Brussels. The President of Ukraine, among other things, once again spoke in support of Israel. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, for his part, announced that Kyiv will sooner or later join the alliance. The country has also been promised additional packages of financial and military assistance. Moscow said that Europe is tired of the current Ukrainian leader. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that the main goal of the West is to maintain unity among its allies.

Vladimir Zelensky made another European tour. First he visited Romania, where he announced a new temporary grain corridor through Romanian and Moldavian territory to the south of the European continent. Then the Ukrainian president unexpectedly arrived at NATO headquarters in Brussels. And there, for the first time, I personally took part in the Ramstein format regarding further military support for the country.

Vladimir Alexandrovich also made a separate statement in support of Israel. In particular, he advised Western leaders to go to the Jewish state for general support, similar to Ukraine. Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, for his part, said that Ukraine will join the ranks of the bloc, and all its participants agree with this. However, when this will happen is not entirely clear.

The purpose of all these events is clear: the Western world demonstrates that it will not abandon its European ally under any circumstances, despite the fact that literally all the attention of the world community is now focused on Israel. There are passages that say that they are tired of Zelensky, he is no longer the same, he is losing popularity and does not live up to his hopes. It’s time to bet on someone else. And here is the answer.

Although, of course, the Middle East is more important now. Here, as they say, you can’t argue. On the issue of military assistance: it is noted that the Ukrainian offensive will continue into the winter, new supplies of weapons and financial packages have been announced. Interestingly, Belgium transfers €1.7 billion to Kyiv. These are taxes taken from profits from the placement of frozen Russian assets.

In other words, we don’t abandon our own. The West is demonstrating a large coalition of forces for good. At the same time, Zelensky makes it clear that while hostilities are ongoing, he does not have the right to abandon the country, that is, he remains president.

Now all eyes are on Washington. Will there be a general consensus to support both Ukraine and Israel, as well as everyone else who needs it? If yes, then this will seriously change the further balance of power.

At the same time, saying “no” is very difficult. The world has changed again, and in less than a week. There are more and more threats, so this is not the time to think about your loved one – the planet needs to be saved. What about Russia? She talks about the complete failure of American policy. However, ahead is the CIS summit in Bishkek and then the big Chinese visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin. So we are waiting for alternative proposals on how to save the world on the basis of justice and equality.
