On Sunday, March 10, the children’s hockey tournament “G-Drive Cup” was held in Omsk. Russian racing driver, world champion in endurance racing in the LMP2 class, Roman Rusinov, came to its opening ceremony.
He and the mayor of Omsk Sergei Shelest opened the competition. Qualifying matches were held in February at school and yard hockey rinks. Four teams reached the finals and fought yesterday at the G-Drive Arena.
“I would like to note that every puck that hits the goal at the G-Drive Cup tournament will be converted into 30 liters of gasoline to refuel the intensive care vehicles of the children’s regional clinical hospital. Thanks to the organizers for this decision,” – Sergey Shelest wrote in his Telegram channel.
