The winter GTO festival has begun in Sochi

The winter festival of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” has started in Sochi. The colorful opening took place at the Yug Sports stadium; more than 250 residents of the Olympic capital tried their hand at fulfilling the GTO standards.
Anyone over 18 years old can take part in the festival. It will last until March 31st. To participate, you must have a doctor’s clearance and register for website GTO.
Before the competitive part of the program, there were golden GTO insignia for Sochi residents who fulfilled the standards at “excellent” standards at previous competitions. Last year, 20 different GTO festivals took place in Sochi, in which about 55 thousand citizens and guests of the city took part.
Previously reportedthat for the 10th anniversary of the White Olympics, about 40 major events will be held in Sochi, including the Olympic torch relay.
