All funds are donated to the children’s department of the Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center. In the center of Moscow, on Arbat, the New Year’s reception “Christmas Star” was held. Its organizer, the Winter Ball charity foundation, has been holding an auction for several years to help children with cancer. All proceeds go towards the purchase of expensive equipment for treatment and diagnostics. The lots of this auction included 14 jewelry items provided by Russian designers and carefully selected by expert curator Elena Vesela. Among the participants are Alexey Barsukov, Evgeny Danilov, Vladimir Markin, Liza Borzunova, Elena Okutova, Mikhail Milyutin, Lina Areifullina.

The auction was conducted by Vladimir Pozner. The debut auctioneer was not inferior to the professionals from Sotheby’s and Christie’s, as a result, all the jewelry was sold, and at a significant excess of the estimate. The Tenzo Light ring with almandine garnets went for 600 thousand rubles, exceeding the preliminary estimate three times, the palladium pendant “Paper Airplane” from the Liza Borzaya brand increased in price four times during the auction. In addition to the jewelry lots, guests were offered two impression lots: an individual lesson with jeweler Alexey Barsukov and a jewelry tour of Moscow with Elena Vesela. There was a fierce struggle for them – as a result, the estimate for each of the impression lots was exceeded 20 times. The total amount received from jewelry lots alone exceeded 2.3 million rubles.
