The winners of the basketball tournament “Orange Ball” were named in Arkhangelsk

In Arkhangelsk, the winners of the basketball tournament “Orange Ball” were announced. It was a regional stage of the All-Russian competitions and was held on the Day of the Athlete at the Trud stadium. The tournament was attended by 24 teams – 96 participants from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Novodvinsk, Vinogradovsky district, Mezensky and Primorsky districts. The awards were drawn in five age categories. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk region.

Four teams entered the Women 19+ category. The first three places were taken by the representatives of Arkhangelsk. These are the teams: Legenda team, “Girls” and “Diamonds”.

Among juniors up to 18 years old, gold and silver medals were played. Fakel (Arkhangelsk) and Winx (Severodvinsk) played a series of three games, as a result of which Severodvinsk won.

Among boys under 16, three teams determined the winners in a round robin system. The guys played two rounds, the best in this category was the team “Bebruna” from Severodvinsk, the second place was taken by the team “Without Rofla”, the third – IDYuTS (Arkhangelsk).

In the category “Junior under 18”, five teams played ten games to determine their champions. The first place was taken by the Torch Rings team, the guys did not lose a single game. Runner-up is Durant’s Feet. Both teams are from Arkhangelsk. But a serious struggle unfolded for third place, as a result, the judges had to consider the difference between goals scored and conceded due to the fact that the three teams had the same number of tournament points scored. The team from Severodvinsk “Bebrune” turned out to have a smaller difference.

In the most massive category – “Men 19+” – ten teams held two stages. At the first stage, the teams determined the winners in three groups in order to play the semi-final games, the game for the third place and the final at the second stage. The best team that day was the Defense team from Arkhangelsk, the second place was won by the team from Severodvinsk “Sobr”, the third place – “Vinograd” from the Vinogradovsky district.
