The winners of a competition of creative essays about sports were announced in Arkhangelsk

The results of the creative essay competition “Sports History of the Russian North” were summed up in Arkhangelsk. It was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the state body for managing physical culture and sports and the 50th anniversary of the Museum of the History of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region.
As the press service of the regional government reported, the grand prix of the competition was won by the youngest participant, seven-year-old Ulyana Kipriyanova. She told the story of her uncle Vladimir Potashev.
The winners of the competition were also: Vladislav Arkhipov (in the age category of 7–9 years), Renat Fateev (10–12 years), Anastasia Rumyantseva (16 years – 22 years), as well as Olga Smirnova and Anna Teplyakova (in the age category over 22 years ).
Gifts and certificates were presented to the winners by Olympic Games participants Valery Ruzhnikov (1968, sailing) and Marina Skolota (1994, biathlon).
