The Kostroma Chess Federation announced the results of the “Queen’s Move” chess tournament, which took place on March 9 in the premises of the Chess Museum at Kostroma University.

“The Queen’s Walk” took place in our region for the second time. This year its participants were divided into 2 groups – professionals and amateurs. The first group includes female chess players who already have sports ranks and personal ratings, the second group includes “pure amateurs.”

And schoolgirl Eva Shelaikina turned out to be stronger! Having won all five games, she became the winner of the tournament. During the award ceremony, the young chess player said that her future plans were to pass the standard for the title of candidate master of sports, and in the future to win the Russian championship among juniors.

Maria Kondyreva and Victoria Chernenkova won second and third places among professionals, and Valentina Makarova became the best among amateurs. .

The Chess Federation awarded several pairs of participants with separate prizes for the most beautiful games.
