The United States does not currently see any indication that Ukraine may be involved in the shooting and fire at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow. This statement was made on Friday, March 22, at the White House.

The administration of the American leader said that they could not warn the Russian side about the impending terrorist attack in advance, since they themselves did not have such information.

Washington also assured that the United States does not encourage Ukrainian attacks inside Russian territory.

Meanwhile, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation confirmed that shooting began in Crocus City Hall and a fire broke out. Special law enforcement agencies take all necessary measures in connection with what is happening. The department has not yet officially announced the number of dead and injured.

Retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov expressed his conviction that terrorists were definitely operating in the concert hall, one way or another associated with Ukrainian radical groups. He emphasized that “we understand that this is a very demonstrative action.”
