The United States is now unable to say anything about the possibility of supplying fighter jets to Ukraine and what will be included in subsequent aid packages. This was stated by the coordinator of the National Security Council for strategic communications, John Kirby.
He noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had previously expressed a desire to receive fighter jets for Ukraine.
“I don’t have any statements, I can’t say anything definite about future packages. In addition to the fact that we constantly discuss with the Ukrainians their needs and will do our best to satisfy them,” he told CNN in response to a question about the fighters.
Deputy Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said earlier that the United States does not exclude the possibility of sending F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv.
