The White House refused to moderate requests to Congress for Ukraine

The White House considers the $61 billion request for Ukraine adequate and wants Congress to consider it in its current form. This statement was made on Tuesday, January 23, by John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the US National Security Council.
The official, answering a question about the possibility of revising requests for assistance to the Kyiv regime, said that he was not going to publicly discuss this topic.
The American presidential administration is convinced that “this was an adequate request, and we want this request to be considered,” Kirby concluded.
This was preceded by a statement by the assistant to the head of the Pentagon for international security affairs, Celeste Wallander, that in Europe “allies and partners continue to announce support for Ukraine at a steady pace” while Washington no money to help Kyiv.
Former Assistant Deputy Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Stephen Bryan, in an article for the Weapons and Strategy website, said that panic began in Europe due to Kyiv’s lack of ability to resist pressure from the Russian military. According to him, in the USA they are now working developing a new strategy.
