White House Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics Mike Pyle sent a letter to the Interagency Donor Coordination Platform with a list of reforms that Ukraine must undertake to continue providing military assistance to it.
According to the publication Ukrayinska Pravda, in particular, reforms should affect the functioning of anti-corruption bodies and the judicial branch of government. In addition, Kyiv is being asked to change the activities of the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies.
Previously, Western media have repeatedly reported on corruption scandals in Ukraine. The issue of fighting corruption is one of the most important for Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
