The White House expressed a desire to see China support Ukraine’s “self-defense”

The United States would like to see Beijing help Kyiv in terms of “self-defense.” John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council, spoke about this in an interview with CNN.

He also stated that the US leadership would welcome China’s joining with the rest of the world in condemning the “invasion” and China’s refusal of any help to Russia. At the same time, Kirby stressed that the White House would be happy to see steps from China to assist Ukraine in terms of “self-defense.”

At the same time, Kirby again tried to warn the PRC against providing military support to Russia. At the same time, the coordinator made the reservation that, according to the US, “such a decision has not yet been made by the Chinese authorities.”

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the alliance was concerned about the possible supply of Chinese weapons to Russia. And Michael McCall, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives, assured that Beijing was going to send hundreds of drones to Moscow. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin recalled that Washington is constantly supplying weapons to the conflict zone, and the US leadership should stop spreading misinformation.
