The number of wounded and dead Ukrainian soldiers in the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine turned out to be significant. This statement was made on Friday, July 21, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan.
The official noted that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army “is going hard, but we said that it would be hard.”
At the same time, Sullivan stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet used all available forces in battles and are waiting for the right moment, and the United States is advising Ukraine on this issue.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no results of the Ukrainian so-called counter-offensive. He stressed that neither the colossal resources pumped into the Kiev regime by Western countries, nor the supply of weapons, nor the thousands of foreign mercenaries and advisers who are used by the Kiev authorities in an attempt to break through the front are helping the Kiev regime.
At the same time, CIA director William Burns justified the slow pace of the UAF counteroffensive. He recalled that the counter-offensive is a difficult task, so it should not surprise anyone that its pace in Ukraine is not too rapid. Burns stressed that progress will not be easy.
