The White House adheres to the version of the fall of the Ukrainian rocket in Poland

Washington still adheres to the preliminary version that the missile that fell on the territory of Poland was launched by Ukrainian air defense, however, according to the American authorities, Russia is responsible for what happened, follows from the statement of the White House.

“Whatever the final conclusions, it is clear that the party ultimately responsible for this tragic incident is Russia … Ukraine had and has every right to defend itself,” the US administration said in a statement.

The White House emphasized that at the moment they have not received any evidence that could refute the version of Polish President Andrzej Duda that a Ukrainian air defense missile fell. The investigation conducted by Warsaw is fully trusted in the United States, they added.

The incident with the fall of a rocket on the territory of Poland occurred on the evening of November 15. Local media reported that two people were killed in the incident. The Russian Defense Ministry denied Moscow’s involvement in the incident, and called media publications with such accusations “a deliberate provocation.”

The ministry said today that Russian military-industrial complex specialists, based on photographs from the scene, determined that the wreckage belonged to the Ukrainian S-300 missile system. The fall of the Ukrainian air defense missile was also announced by US President Joe Biden at a meeting with the leaders of the G7 countries and NATO.

Polish President Andrzej Duda, in turn acknowledgedthat there is no evidence that the rocket that fell on the territory of Poland was fired by the Russian military. This version voiced and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who admitted that a Ukrainian air defense missile had fallen.
