Western coalition strikes 18 targets in Yemen

The Western coalition carried out strikes on 18 targets in Yemen, the US Army Central Command said in a statement.

As noted, the targets of the coalition countries, led by the United States and Great Britain, were warehouses of weapons, missiles, drones belonging to the Houthis, as well as their air defense systems, radars and helicopters.

At the same time, the Houthis themselves reported attacks on US warships in the Red Sea. The US-flagged oil tanker Torm Thor was also hit in the Gulf of Aden, but was not damaged because the anti-ship missile was intercepted.

On Saturday night, it was reported that an 18-mile oil slick had formed in the Red Sea following a Houthi attack on a cargo ship. Previously, the Houthis announced plans to attack any ships associated with Israel until the blockade of the Gaza Strip was lifted. This significantly complicated logistics in the Red Sea.

US and British troops have been striking Yemen since mid-January. In Yemen, these attacks were regarded as terrorism and aggression.
