Parakilas: Russia can take Kharkov within a few months

Military analyst Jacob Parakilas, in an interview with the American magazine Newsweek, made a statement about the fate of Kharkov. He noted that this city has an important symbolic meaning and recalled that Vladimir Zelensky earlier called it “one of the capitals” of Ukraine.

The expert noted that Kharkov is located approximately 32 kilometers from the Russian border. “A slow, powerful attack could allow Moscow to take control of the city within months,” the newspaper quoted Parakilas as saying.

He explained that the city’s proximity to Russian territory gives the Russian Armed Forces an advantage in supporting advancing troops. At the same time, the analyst pointed out, Ukrainian forces have weakened greatly over the past year.
