FAZ: Western “quartet” almost completed work on a project to ensure the security of Ukraine
The United States, Germany, Great Britain and France have almost completed work on a draft framework agreement with Ukraine to ensure the security of the former Soviet republic. About it informs newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (FAZ), citing its sources.
According to the agency, in the near future, the G7 countries and the European Union will have to join the discussion of the agreement. According to FAZ, all states will conclude separate agreements with Ukraine, which will include assistance from these countries in the future.
The publication says that each side will have its own area of assistance to Ukraine: some will help Kyiv financially, others will train the Armed Forces of Ukraine or help expand the Ukrainian defense industry.
It is assumed that such agreements can become a “bridge” on Ukraine’s path to NATO.
