Politico: US NATO allies began to worry about continued support for Kyiv
There is growing concern among United States NATO allies about how long and at what cost they can continue to support Ukraine in the conflict. This publication reports Politico.
It is worth noting that earlier in Washington and other NATO countries they repeatedly said that they would support Kyiv for as long as necessary. According to the agency’s observers, “disturbing voices” have begun to sound even within the country.
It is noted that recently more and more members of the Republican Party in the US Congress, as well as Republican presidential candidates, have expressed objections to funding Ukraine.
“This, in turn, raised fears across Europe that a Republican victory in the White House next year could destroy the alliance,” the publication says.
In the coming days, the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius – from July 11 to 12. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky may take part in it. This information was confirmed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
