Leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, Evgeny Tishkovets, believes that the conventional date for the start of the heating season in Moscow may be shifted by two weeks. That is, heating in the Russian capital will most likely begin in the second half of October.
According to forecasts, the beginning of October in Central Russia will be cold like autumn. So, at night the temperature will drop to plus 2-7 degrees.
Meanwhile, according to the standards established by the government, the heating season begins when the average daily air temperature remains below plus 8 degrees for five days. “Such a sustained cooling is not expected in Moscow,” Tishkovets made a preliminary forecast.
In the second ten days of October there is a high probability of another strong warming and sunny weather. In general, October promises to be 3 degrees warmer than normal.
