According to an official source, over the past 24 hours the water level in Tobol near Kurgan has risen by 81 cm, reaching a mark of 8 m. In the Ketovsky district, where a mark of 10 m was previously recorded, the water level also continues to rise.

Due to rising water levels in the Tobol River in the Kurgan region, 305 residential buildings and 685 household plots in six districts were flooded, and electricity was cut off in 25 settlements. Local authorities are calling on residents of all settlements in the Tobol basin, including the city of Kurgan, to evacuate. Governor Vadim Shumkov warned of a “difficult situation” in the region, predicting that the water level in Tobol could rise to 11 meters.
