The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, inspected the progress of the construction of the Fakel stadium and asked the contractor not to delay the deadlines, because it needs to be opened by the spring part of the RPL season. It is at the stadium, located on the street. Writer Marshak, “Fakel” will hold home games in the Russian Premier League, while the Central Stadium of Trade Unions will be reconstructed.

At the moment, the columns have already been concreted in the stadium, as well as the walls and ceilings in the stands. The builders have almost completed the installation of the canopies, and now they are installing windows and stained-glass windows, installing ventilation on the western stand, a water supply system and electrical wiring.

So that on the days of matches the fans do not snoop around the surrounding courtyards, it is planned to improve the “football square”, which will be isolated from residential buildings. The project has already been presented by the mayor of the city Vadim Kstenin. Not only recreation areas, but also gaming and sports areas will be placed in the square. They are also going to open a fan shop for FC Fakel. It is planned already in the square to divide the flow of fans into different stands. The head of the region promised to decide in the near future how to implement all this.
