The championship of Russia in volleyball continues in Voronezh. Twelve teams of girls born in 2007-2008 are competing for medals. On the third game day, the Volleyball School from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk defeated the Voronezh Region, which had previously gone without losses with a score of 3:1. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region.
In the first installment, the islanders immediately took the lead (2:0), but also quickly found themselves in the role of recouping (4:5). We took the lead on Maria Svitlyk’s serve (7:5), but then something went wrong (7:9, 8:10). Daria Turkina brought three points in a row (attack and two aces), and the Volleyball School rushed to victory (13:11). Ace Sofya Portnykh made the score 18:13. And the exclamation point in the game was put by Maria Svitlik, whose attack the opponents couldn’t cope with – 25:21.
In the second game, the Sakhalin volleyball players seized the initiative (7:3). However, the rivals quickly came to their senses and turned everything upside down (12:18). It was no longer possible to catch up with them (20:25).
At the beginning of the third set, Maria Svitlik soared up above the sky and opened the scoring. Then Sofya Portnykh scored with a reinforced concrete block (2:0). But the Voronezh volleyball players also know how to play volleyball. A few meaningful attacks, and now we are behind (7:10, 10:13). It became alarming, but two aces in a row by Ekaterina Yezhikova breathed hope for success. Then Sofia Portnykh scored two points in a row. In the end, I had to be nervous when the score was 21:22. However, the ace of Daria Turkina recorded the victory – 25:23.
In the fourth set it was already easier. The score quickly rose to 5:0. By the end of the game, the lead doubled (25:15).
