The Vodnik double completed its away tour of the North-West of Russia in Syktyvkar, where on January 20 and 21 it met with the local Stroitel. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region.

At least one victory allowed the Syktyvkar team to break away from the yellow-greens and gain a foothold at the top line. In order to beat the team from the Komi Republic, the Arkhangelsk team had to beat the hosts twice.
In the first meeting, the Arkhangelsk team managed to impose a fight on the Syktyvkar team. With a relatively equal game, Stroitel’s hockey players made better use of their chances at the opponent’s goal. This allowed the hosts to win with a minimal gap in the score – 4:3. In the repeat meeting, unfortunately, the yellow-greens could not resist the team from the capital of the Komi Republic and lost heavily – 10:4.
– In the first match, we had a good chance not to lose to the hosts, but the guys lacked composure and a little luck in finishing their attacks. We lost the repeat meeting on all counts. First of all, we didn’t have enough movement,” summed up the senior coach of the Vodnik reserve team, Roman Sukhorukov.
On January 22, the nearest reserve of the main team of Pomorie returns to Arkhangelsk. He will play his next matches on his home ice on January 27-28, when he will meet with HC Monchegorsk.
