According to TASS, water and air temperatures are expected to drop in Russian Black Sea resorts starting on Tuesday. However, cold water lovers, the so-called “walruses,” will be able to enjoy the season for another week, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to him, on Monday the weather will still be comfortable with warmth and sun, and you can swim. For example, in Sochi the air temperature will be 21-22 degrees, and the water will be about 20 degrees. However, after this, a noticeable drop in air temperature is expected, and will no longer exceed 20 degrees. The water temperature will also drop, which means the end of the comfortable velvet season.
However, according to Vilfand, the season for the Walruses will last another week. He noted that this does not mean a ban on swimming, since for many adults this temperature is still comfortable. Moreover, by the end of the week the air temperature is expected to rise to 23-25 degrees.
