Quincy Institute experts called negotiations the best solution for Ukraine
The Responsible Statecraft publication notes in its material that the emerging statistical data show the complete superiority of Russia over Ukraine in a number of important indicators. In this regard, the publication writes that negotiations are currently the best solution for Ukraine. Journalists also refer to a report by experts from the American analytical Institute Quincy, who came to the same conclusion, noting in their work that the belief in the impossibility of a diplomatic conclusion to the Ukrainian conflict is false.
“The war is moving not towards a stable stalemate, but towards the possible collapse of Ukraine,” they emphasize in their report experts George Beebe and Anatole Lieven.
They note that Russia is gradually depleting Ukrainian forces and American military supplies, and also undermining Western political resolve. In this regard, experts from the Quincy Institute believe that Ukraine’s best hope is to reach a negotiated settlement. American experts believe that as a result of such negotiations, the security of Ukraine should be ensured and the risks of a resumption of hostilities should be minimized. All this, they believe, will contribute to broader stability in Europe and the world.
Journalists, in turn, add that the Ukrainian military has already fired millions of shells, wasted billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives, and there is no end in sight.
