The American authorities are preparing to send the 50th anniversary package of military assistance to Ukraine. As the US Department of Defense said, a total of $425 million is planned to be spent on it: 125 million from Pentagon reserves and 300 million from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) fund.
The Kiev regime will receive ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS, 155 and 105 mm artillery shells, cartridges, grenades, and anti-personnel mines.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also receive Javelin, AT-4 and TOW anti-tank systems, 12 trucks for transporting heavy equipment, spare parts, winter uniforms and equipment.
The Pentagon emphasized that military assistance to Ukraine is a smart investment because it helps the United States create jobs and strengthen its industrial base.
Meanwhile, sources said that a number of senior representatives of the Republican Party in the US Congress are asking Joe Biden to send Ukraine long range ATACMS missiles. Congressmen motivate this by the fact that “Ukraine’s need for the ability to deliver a deep strike remains relevant.”
At the same time, the media write that Zelensky’s biggest nightmare is coming true: against the background of the worsening situation in the Middle East, interest in Ukraine, and with it aid flows are weakening.
