The United States has imposed sanctions on three companies in Russia that are associated with aviation. About it it says on the website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury.
The following additions to the sanction lists included the Delta-Aero technical service center, the Aerosila research and production enterprise, and the joint-stock company ODK-Star. It is clarified that they were included in the register due to their alleged connection with Iran.
The US Treasury regularly updates the sanctions register. September 14 OFAC expanded sanctions on concerns “AvtoVAZ” and “Moskvich”, as well as for 20 Russians. Then Avtodor and the engineering group “Transmashholding“, engine-building company “Saturn”, concern “Sollers” and etc.
September 7 OFAC introduced sanctions against 11 Russian citizens for actions in the cyber sphere. On the same day, the UK Treasury also imposed sanctions against 11 Russians. The British department said that they were all members of a “Russian cybercriminal group” behind hacks of “critical infrastructure and hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
