The US House of Representatives supported a tax on Russian assets

Members of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee voted overwhelmingly for Bill 100 to tax a number of Russian and Belarusian assets that were frozen due to the conflict over Ukraine.
Forty-one committee members voted for the bill, which would impose a 100% tax on these assets. five others were against it.
The document provides for the creation of a fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine, to which “taxable” assets will be directed.
