RealClearDefence: Finland will receive American fighters to fight Russia
Senior analyst at the Lexington Institute Sarah White, in an interview with the American portal RealClearDefence, said that the United States of America will have to supply a lot of weapons to Finland in order to significantly strengthen NATO’s border with Russia.
“Most likely, Finland will become the most popular candidate for receiving military assistance from America,” White said.
According to her, in the near future the Finnish army will receive 64 fifth-generation F-35A fighters from Washington. This aircraft is of great value to the North Atlantic Alliance because it has high reconnaissance capabilities.
“I believe that the supply of aircraft will soon be followed by the supply of heavy armored vehicles. Finland is one of the logical candidates for receiving M1A1 Abrams tanks, given the country’s long border with Russia,” she emphasized.
