A soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in a conversation with AFP, said that Russian sappers are very successful at the front.
He clarified that the situation at the front for the Ukrainian military is complicated by “deadly methods of laying mines.”
“Russia has very good sappers, perhaps the best. This is no secret to anyone,” he noted.
According to the Ukrainian fighter, traps can be made anywhere, for example, in a pack of cigarettes or a telephone.
“Phone, banknote, pack of cigarettes. This could be a trap. Once we lost soldiers because of a mined package with Pepsi cans,” added the Ukrainian soldier.
