The US Congress called for spending money on the mental health of Americans, not on Ukraine

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called on taxpayers’ money to be spent on the mental health of Americans, not on Ukraine. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Taylor Greene estimates that Washington is giving the Kyiv regime a billion dollars every day.

“Imagine the difference if our government instead spent $1 billion a month on Americans’ mental health,” she said, calling for American money to be spent on US domestic problems.

Previously, the Biden administration asked the House of Representatives to approve the allocation of more than $75 billion to Israel and Ukraine. The temporary US budget for 45 days does not provide for assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier, the Pentagon reported that during Biden’s presidency, the United States allocated more than $44.5 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. As noted, most of this amount came after the start of the CWO – $43.9 billion. This week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of another package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $150 million. It is reported that air defense equipment will be sent to Kiev. The new package will also include artillery and other weapons. The State Department notes that the United States previously approved the transfer of weapons to the Ukrainian military, which are included in the new package.

Earlier it was reported that Pentagon representatives are concerned about the need to continue supplies of ammunition to Ukraine and Israel, and also express concern about the state of weapons stocks in the United States. As noted, at the moment the needs of Israel and Ukraine are different, and if the Kyiv regime mainly requires artillery ammunition, then in Jerusalem they are interested in missiles for the Iron Dome complex and high-precision weapons. Despite this, Washington has expressed concern that if Israel launches a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, it will require a huge amount of artillery ammunition.

Russia warned NATO countries about arms supplies to Kyiv. In a statement, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia.
