Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and Hamas representative met in Moscow

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani, during a visit to Moscow, met with a member of the bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Abu Marzouk, about this reported Iranian Embassy in Moscow.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov explainedthat all contacts with the Hamas delegation are planned through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of state Vladimir Putin does not plan to meet with representatives of the Palestinian group.
Israeli Foreign Ministry demanded “immediately expel” Hamas from Russia. The ministry noted that Tel Aviv considers inviting representatives of the Palestinian movement to Moscow as an “undignified step.” They emphasized that the Hamas leadership is responsible for the deaths of more than 1,400 and the kidnapping of more than 220 Israelis.
On October 7, the Gaza-based Palestinian group Hamas attacked southern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by launching Operation Iron Swords, and the country declared a state of war. According to the latest data, about 8,000 people have been killed in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, including more than 6,500 Palestinians.
