The United States will transfer 190 MRAP armored vehicles to Ukraine, said the US Ambassador in Kyiv Bridget Brink, writes RBC-Ukraine.
Armored vehicles, according to Brink, will allow Ukrainian law enforcement officers to “protect civilians, especially near the front line.”
September 6 US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on the allocation of more than $1 billion in financial assistance for Ukraine, including $665.5 million for military and civilian assistance. On the same day, the Pentagon announced a $175 million aid package for Ukraine, which also included depleted uranium shells for Abrams tanks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously warned that Moscow will be forced to respond to deliveries of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov pointed outthat the use of shells with depleted uranium has very sad consequences, recorded by international organizations.
