“Elections now are, first of all, a holiday” – Kommersant FM

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, spoke about attempts at provocations on the eve of regional elections. However, according to the chairman of the Central Election Commission, this will not affect the electoral process in any way. September 10 is a single voting day in Russia. Citizens, in particular, will have to elect the heads of 26 constituent entities, including the mayor of Moscow and the governor of the Moscow region. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize does not expect any surprises from this event.

On the eve of the single voting day, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova, traditionally for such cases, inaugurated an information center that will receive operational information about how the will of the Russian people is being expressed.

We specifically remind you: by-elections of State Duma deputies will be held in four districts of the country. Citizens will have to elect heads of 26 constituent entities, including the mayor of Moscow and the governor of the Moscow region, as well as deputies of legislative (representative) government bodies in 16 cities and villages. In most regions, elections will last three days.

Residents of 24 regions will be able to use the electronic voting system (EVS). We can go into more detail on this. The authorities are doing their best to encourage the voter to actively use this DEG and not bother going to the polling station. Indeed, I pressed the button and that was the end of it. So, Ella Alexandrovna, as a resident of the Moscow region, is going to cast her vote in exactly this way.

The “Million Prizes” campaign has traditionally been held in the capital of our state. True, this year it’s modest – cars and apartments are not up for grabs, but 1-5 thousand rubles. It’s quite possible to get it. But, unfortunately, in some places there are cases such as coercion of DEG. The CEC even received 13 relevant appeals.

However, upon detailed study, it turned out that in the majority it was not coercion at all. True, it is not entirely clear what it was in the end. Ella Alexandrovna did not talk about this. It probably seemed to the complainers. Or, worse, they were provocateurs. There are those who question and slander, saying that it is suspicious that the state is agitating and even insisting like this.

By the way, at the last elections to the State Duma, it unexpectedly turned out that participants in the DEG vote fundamentally differently than those who preferred to tinker with paper the old-fashioned way. The answer is clear: these are progressive people, and they vote correctly.

We also need to say separately about the elections of the head of Khakassia. There, the candidate from United Russia unexpectedly fell seriously ill, so the voting will take place without the main party of the country. Here’s an interesting twist.

So, in general, the Russian people vote and don’t worry about anything. The country is on the right course and will not deviate from it – this is the main thing.

Elections now are, first of all, a holiday, a reason to put on a white shirt. Or you can pour a little bit at a time. And what? A reason to tell your family: today is a special day. Someone will go to the site, and someone will solemnly press the button. However, someone may not remember, which may not be very good, but not tragic, let’s say. This will not affect the country’s confident progress in any way.
