The Urozhay stadium in the Kostroma suburb of Karavaevo awaits a new stage of reconstruction

The regional department of physical education and sports reports plans for the development of a stadium in Karavaevo, which are already beginning to be implemented – and as a result, one of the main sports grounds in the region will be able to host competitions in 17 sports, primarily in athletics and football.
According to the director of the School of Olympic Reserve named after A.V. Golubev Oleg Chentsov, after reconstruction, the Urozhay stadium will be able to host javelin, hammer and discus throwing competitions.
In addition, eight athletics tracks will be laid at the stadium. The reconstruction of the stadium will cost 104 million rubles, which were allocated for these purposes as part of the “Sport is the norm of life” program of the presidential national project “Demography”.
The contractors plan to begin the reconstruction of Urozhay immediately after the snow melts, and they plan to complete it by the end of summer.
