The United States urged to cut ties with a number of allies

Former aide to US President Ronald Reagan Doug Bandow, now a columnist for The American Conservative, said it was necessary to cut ties between Washington and a number of key allies.
In his article, he mentioned Turkey, Saudi Arabia and South Korea as candidates for breaking off relations.
The Saudis did not please Bandow with the decision to cut oil production against the advice of Washington, South Korea – requests for protection, despite a strong economy and diplomacy.
The former Reagan aide substantiated claims against Turkey by the fact that foreign policy periodically runs counter to the interests of Washington.
In addition, according to Bandow, there are too many “militarily useless members” in NATO, and the “quality” of partners is much more important for the Americans.
Earlier, the coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, said that the United States was ready to review relations with Saudi Arabia. The US Senate has submitted a bill to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia for one year.
