How reports Bloomberg agency, informed sources in Washington announced that the US authorities are developing a UN Security Council resolution on the non-placement of nuclear weapons in space.
It is clarified that this document is being prepared in connection with information that has emerged about Russia’s alleged intentions to deploy such weapons in near-Earth space.
“The resolution will be introduced this month… It is likely to renew countries’ obligations under the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, which prohibits nuclear weapons in orbit,” the agency wrote.
