The Pentagon press release released statementwhich states that the US authorities intend to help Denmark investigate the incidents on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
It is reported that in connection with explosions on pipelines, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin called Danish Defense Minister Morten Bydskov.
“Ministers discussed the recent explosions of gas pipelines near the Danish island of Bornholm. Secretary of State Austin offered his full support to Denmark in the investigation of this incident … They agreed to continue to work together as this situation develops,” the statement says.
Austin also assured his interlocutor that the United States “remains committed to the security of the Baltic Sea and to its longtime ally Denmark.”
