The United States intends to establish joint production of some types of military equipment on the territory of Ukraine. About it writes TASS citing US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Procurement and Logistics Bill LaPlante.
“We will do some co-production with the Australians. It’s the same with Europe. And we will even establish joint production with the Ukrainians. In their country,” Laplante said.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that NATO will focus on joint production with partners and allies. He also recalled that these decisions were made at the July NATO summit in Vilnius.
In July Laplante reportedthat Western countries that supplied Ukraine with weapons and equipment intend to pay more attention to its repair. For this purpose, repair enterprises are being created in Europe. The issue of restoring equipment and maintaining it in working order is the main one for the working group headed by Laplante, which includes representatives of 22 countries.
