The United States imposed sanctions against 10 citizens and companies for exporting electronics to the Russian Federation

The United States has imposed sanctions against seven individuals and three companies that, according to Washington, are allegedly involved in the illegal export of military electronics to Russia. About it it says in a statement by the US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industrial and Security Affairs.
In particular, Russians Vladimir Bochkarev, Pavel Chernikov, Ekaterina Vetoshkina, Oleg Zhenchenko, as well as Canadian citizens Nikolay Goltsev, Kristina Puzyreva and American Salimjon Nasriddinov were subject to restrictions. Among the companies on the blacklist are SH Brothers (registered in the USA), SN Electronics (USA) and Suntronic (UAE).
It is alleged that these 10 individuals and companies allegedly illegally purchased “millions of dollars worth of dual-use electronics for end users in Russia, including companies affiliated with the Russian army.” In addition, all seven individuals were charged with charges including conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act.
On October 31, Goltsev, Puzyreva and Nasriddinov were arrested. By versions US Department of Justice, they purchased electronics through two companies in Brooklyn – SH Brothers and SN Electronics. Then the products were sent to Russia through intermediary companies in Turkey, India, China and the UAE, including Suntronic. In total, electronics worth more than $7 million were supplied to Russia, the bureau’s statement clarifies.
On November 2, the United States expanded the sanctions list to include 37 individuals and 200 companies allegedly associated with Russia. In particular, St. Petersburg Exchange, AFK-Sistema, Arctic LNG – 2, as well as banks “Russian standard“, “Post Bank”, “Absolut Bank”, etc. Among the individuals against whom sanctions were imposed are citizens of Russia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Sweden, Ireland, the UAE, Latvia, as well as Turkey.
