The United States did not find reasons to change the readiness of the strategic forces because of Russia

The actions of Russia and Belarus so far do not give the US authorities reason to believe that it is necessary to change the level of readiness of strategic forces. This was announced on Thursday, August 17, in the US Department of Defense.
Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder declined to elaborate, but noted that “in general, we have not seen anything that would force us to change the alignment of our own strategic forces.”
A day earlier, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, said that the US authorities did not see the need in the regrouping of their forces in Europe or the transfer of their military in the light of the situation on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the North Atlantic Alliance did not detect any changes in Russia’s nuclear potential, and therefore the military bloc does not plan to revise their own appropriate attitudes.
