The United States called the expected date for the return of Alaska to Russia

The journalists of the American edition of The Hill published a material in which they suggested when and under what conditions Alaska, sold by the Russian Emperor Alexander II to the United States in 1867, would be able to return to Russia.
The article notes that Russia has been actively implementing projects in the Arctic in recent years, while the United States and Canada are significantly behind in this matter.
“The Arctic Ocean… The United States has been ignored for a long time… And Russia is making a serious bet on the Northern Sea Route… The north of Canada is almost uninhabited, while the Russian northern coast, on the contrary, is much better developed,” the journalists write.
However, they believe that Alaska will return to Russia “only when hell freezes over.”
