The unions of journalists of Moscow and Russia strongly condemned the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kherson crossing

This night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck from the American MLRS HIMARS at the crossing in Kherson, where there was a column of civilians. As a result of the attack, four people were killed and 13 were injured. Among the dead and wounded are our colleagues, journalists from Tavria TV and Radio Company.

“The Americans deliberately hit the Antonovsky Bridge when there were journalists there,” Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the Kherson region administration, wrote on his telegram channel.

Oleg Klokov, a journalist and director of the Tavria TV and Radio Company, died as a result of the blow. Ruslan Voskresensky, operator of the Tavria TV and radio company, and correspondent Konstantin Mochar, as well as journalist Vlada Lugovskaya, were seriously injured.

Our deceased colleague Oleg Klokov is a journalist with many years of unique experience. He worked for Channel One, Moscow 24 and Russia Today. Oleg, on his own initiative, decided to develop the young shopping center “Tavria”, created in August this year.

Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Solovyov said that all necessary assistance would be provided to the family of the deceased.

“I knew Oleg Klokov for many years, we worked together on Channel One. The Union of Journalists of Russia will provide Oleg’s family with all the necessary financial assistance. Now we are also finding out what is the fate of the wounded journalists. They will also be provided with assistance if necessary,” the head of the UJR said.

Journalist Vlada Lugovskaya, who miraculously survived the attack, is now in the hospital.

“Everything is fine with me now. A fragment was taken out of me, it hit in the chest, pierced through and flew out in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe ribs. He got there after a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Antonovsky Bridge. We stood with a column of journalists, waiting for the crossing. They thought the air defense was working. I was in the back seat. A sharp explosion, glass fell on me, ”Lugovskaya said in a video distributed by telegram channels.

Vlada Lugovskaya stressed that she survived thanks to the dedication of her colleague. He covered the girl with his body, pulled her out of the car and laid her on the side of the road, and then began to help other wounded.

The journalist is sure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered a targeted blow to civilians. The attack did not pursue military objectives.

“I am sure that the military was not there. It was a column of peaceful people who just wanted to leave the city, somewhere in a safer place,” Lugovskaya said.

Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Moscow, editor-in-chief of MK Pavel Gusev is also sure that the strike on the Antonovsky Bridge is a terrorist act directed against civilians:

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine used missiles for MLRS HIMARS with a large number of fragmentation submunitions. This was done on purpose so that there would be as many civilian casualties as possible. If they wanted to destroy the bridge, they would have used missiles designed specifically for this purpose.

The strike on the Antonovsky Bridge was deliberately delivered at the very moment when a group of journalists was at the crossing, Pavel Gusev is sure: “This is another murder of journalists. This was done by the Ukrainian Nazis, purposefully killing Russian journalists who write the truth about what is happening today during the period of a special military operation.

It seems to me that if the world community does not deal with this issue, the Ukrainian fascists will continue to purposefully destroy journalists. They will kill people who speak the truth and tell the realities of what is happening in the war zone.

I think that European countries – not to mention the “democratic” media of the United States of America – should not just replicate this case, but show their rulers what they have come to. Hitting a peaceful crossing, hitting people and purposefully hitting journalists is a crime, this is genocide, which requires the most serious investigation.”
