The Russian Union of Insurers (RUA) and the National Insurance Information System (NSIS; a subsidiary of the Central Bank) agreed, in particular, on the amount of the transaction for the sale of software and infrastructure for the launch of an all-Russian automated information system (AIS) for insurance. Participants in the deal informed Interfax about this.
The parties reached agreements at the last meetings of the board and presidium of the RSA. Representatives of RSA and NSIS did not disclose the final amount of the transaction. As an Interfax source in the insurance market reported, it amounted to 2 billion rubles. The transfer of powers from the union of insurers to the structure of the Bank of Russia will take place at the end of October, the source clarified.
As explained in RSA, “the information systems of insurance unions will be controlled by the NSIS, and RSA will receive data from it, since it is still considered the operator of the AIS OSAGO system under the current legislation.”
Bank of Russia registered JSC National Insurance Information System in March as an operator of AIS insurance. It is assumed that the system will store all data on auto insurance, housing, and emergency insurance contracts. The system will interact with the State Services portal.
