The undeniable advantages of the program of additional gasification of the Tver region

We are talking about the free conduct of the so-called last mile – a segment from the main pipe to the boundaries of the site. Previously, this segment cost citizens a pretty penny. What, in fact, citizens complained about when in 2021 Governor Igor Rudenya and Acting Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party Dmitry Kobylkin inspected the progress of gasification of the Georgian village. As a result of this trip, a party initiative was developed on free supply of gas to the sites. Thanks to this systematic work, residents of the Tver region can save up to 150 thousand rubles when connecting, in addition, there are many “gas” subsidies for beneficiaries in the region. Until 2025, it is planned to install more than 148 kilometers of gas pipelines, 1,100 kilometers of networks in the Tver region, as well as bring the resource to 117 boiler houses and enterprises. What is especially important, conditions will be created for connecting more than 46,000 households. The last point is especially important, because gas is not only convenient, it literally saves the family budget.

With gas, we started a completely new life

Yevgeny Vinogradov, a resident of the village of Novinki, Kalininsky District, shared his story with journalists from the editorial office of MK in Tver. Evgeny Vasilievich is a pensioner. He and his wife have a small house, next to it there is a vegetable garden, where every summer an eco-friendly crop, typical for our region, ripens. In a word, the traditional rural way of life. Until recently, even too traditional, because the house was heated with a stove. This may seem romantic to a city dweller: fragrant smoke, crackling logs, rough stove sides are witnesses of a family history of several generations. But the firewood itself does not jump into the stove, they must be put in a woodpile (provided that you buy chopped ones, and they are much more expensive), in cold weather you need to bring them from the woodpile, flood the stove and wait until it warms up. And so every day from September to May, regardless of health, weather and other good reasons. Natural gas is a completely different matter. “We got the opportunity to connect when a main pipeline was laid to the Novinki sanatorium,” Evgeny Vasilyevich told us. – We, the villagers, were connected under the after-gasification program. We wrote a statement to the village administration, from there, without any red tape, the documents went further through the authorities, we were laid a pipe for free to the border of the site. At the same time, we ordered a project for laying a pipe through the site and connecting the boiler. Since that time, we can say that a new life has begun. The fact is that you can’t heat a large area with a stove, because it can’t be overheated so that it doesn’t crack, so you had to crowd. After the gas was connected, a redevelopment was made, a total of 25 square meters of warm rooms were added. Finally, they made a heated bathroom, which they had long dreamed of. Yevgeny Vasilyevich also noted that with the supply of gas to their village, young people began to show attention: people constantly come to see the sites. Yes, and neighbors who monitor the real estate market say that houses in Novinki are gradually becoming more expensive. Such is the investment in the future and development of rural areas.

No more sitting half the day in an unheated house

“I used to heat my house with liquefied gas, order cylinders, connect them to a gas tank, which seems to be a familiar, but still rather vain occupation,” shared another resident of Novinki, pensioner Nikolai Vasilyevich. – You have to keep track of your spending. I once missed this moment from attention, and the gas suddenly ran out. Of course, they deliver it quickly, but you can try to sit in an unheated house for half a day when it is at least -10 outside the window. He connected the gas, like everyone else: he wrote a statement to the administration, ordered a project for the site. The connection cost me very budget, only 26 thousand rubles, and the savings, compared with bottled gas, are almost 4.5 times. As a result, the connection paid off in a year and a half.

Probably only the cat misses the stove

Another resident of Novinki, already familiar to us, one of the founders and activists of the Tver association of wheelchair users “Kristall”, Dmitry Andrianov, said that he often happens on business in Tver – he is fond of bard songs, constantly participates in competitions (as evidenced by a whole battery of prizes and cups on the windowsill), and public affairs require personal presence.

– Previously, you had to turn off the heating during your absence: after all, you can’t leave the stove and heater for future use – this is unsafe. And if you don’t heat the house for a long time in the cold, then, of course, you come, and the house gets cold. And returning to a cold house is very uncomfortable. While you heat the stove, you get tired, and it takes a long time to heat the house in the cold – several hours. If you arrive in the evening, then in the morning it only becomes a comfortable temperature. But now this issue has been removed, and heating costs have decreased several times. Probably only the cat misses the stove, and even that doesn’t speak, Dmitry jokes.

When checking the equipment, a specialist from Gazprom Gas Distribution Tver noted that the meter shows rather moderate numbers for the heated area. It turns out that this is an echo of the “stove era”: the owner insulated his house so well that losses are minimized.

Life certainly got better.

Not far from Novinki there is the village of Savino. It is noticeably larger, but the pipes through which gas flows were not everywhere. The local location, which residents call Savinskaya Gorka, just needed a gas pipeline.

“When we found out that it was possible to connect under the aftergasification program, we immediately applied to the local administration with an application,” said a local resident, engineer Sergey Gorchenkov. – Then we also received technical conditions for connecting the house. Since November 2022, we have a gas-fired boiler, before that they were heated with electricity. Life certainly got better. In connection with this, they did not do any redevelopment of the house, we simply pay four thousand instead of 12, saving three times. The family is happy, now there is no need to set the minimum temperature in the rooms, if we want, we can easily arrange the heat, as in the south.
