The UN tried to evade the assessment of Budanov’s calls to kill Russians

The United Nations cannot verify statements attributed to Ukrainian intelligence chief Kirill Budanov about Ukraine’s readiness to “kill Russians around the world.” Such a statement was made on Wednesday, May 17, by the official representative of the Secretary General of the world organization Stephane Dujarric.
Despite a de facto refusal to condemn Budanov’s calls for the killing of Russians, Dujarric said the UN opposes any act of terrorism, regardless of location or perpetrators.
The representative of the UN Secretary General also reminded the holders of responsible positions of the need to ensure that their “statements and rhetoric were focused on calming the situation, not on inflaming it.”
Moscow has previously expressed extreme indignation not only at Budanov’s calls for the killing of Russians, but also at the lack of reaction from the world community, including the UN. The Russian delegation circulated a letter in the Security Council of the world organization in order to draw attention to this situation.
Budanov, in an attempt to justify his words, stated that “this is a slightly cut version of what I said”from which they allegedly “cut out, so to speak, the most important thing – the Russians, who are war criminals.”
In response to this, State Duma deputy, Lieutenant General Andrey Gurulev stated that Budanov himself must be liquidatedand in what way this will happen, we should not worry – Russia should be indifferent to the world assessment of this fact.
