The UN Security Council held a meeting on the Il-76 shot down near Belgorod with prisoners of war of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
A meeting of the Security Council was held at the United Nations, which was convened due to the strike on the Il-76 plane in the Belgorod region.
According to Russian representative Dmitry Polyansky, Moscow representatives will do everything possible to ensure that those responsible for the crash receive the deserved punishment.
“Data about the incident indicate that Kyiv committed a deliberate and well-thought-out crime. Ukrainian authorities “were well aware of the route and method of transporting the military to the place that had been previously agreed upon for the exchange,” Polyansky noted.
He clarified that Ukraine’s Western sponsors should also bear responsibility for the tragedy. The United States and Germany can be considered accomplices in this crime if it turns out that the Ukrainian military used Patriot or IRIS-T air defense systems.
