UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres wants the Ukrainian conflict to end while respecting the principle of the country’s territorial integrity. This is how Guterres Speaker Stephane Dujarric commented on reports that former US President Donald Trump, if re-elected, will achieve peace through concessions of territories by Kiev.
“He (UN Secretary General – editor’s note) wants to see the end of the conflict on the basis of the relevant UN resolutions and while respecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Dujarric said in response to a journalist’s question.
It is worth noting that earlier in The Washington Post, citing its sources, an article appeared that stated that Trump intends, if he takes the post of President of the United States, to end the conflict in Ukraine with territorial concessions. However, Trump’s adviser later denied this information.
